Melanie Martinez postpones Saturday's concert at the Ritz Ybor due to kidney stones
Melanie Martinez is one of the most popular contestants in the history of The Voice. Her concert on Saturday at the Ritz Ybor sold out weeks in advance.
So this announcement hurts, for both Martinez and her fans.
The singer has postponed Saturday's concert -- as well as Sunday's show at the House of Blues in Orlando -- due to "successful recovery from her recent kidney stones and infection," her team said in a statement. "Her doctors have required her to remain at home for 6 more days before getting back out on the Cry Baby Tour."
The Ritz Ybor show has been moved to April 2, and the House of Blues show has been moved to April 4. Tickets purchased for the original show will be honored at the new one, but if you can't make it for whatever reason, refunds will be available at point of purchase.
So if you missed out on this long-sold-out show, there's a teeny chance you might get into the do-over. But you'll have to act fast.
