Motley Crue's farewell tour coming to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa
All good things must come to an end. All dirty, deleriously debauched things, too.
Motley Crue have decided they've used up eight of their nine lives on this planet, and are embarking on one final world tour this summer. Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars will hit a series of arenas and amphitheatres starting in July -- including a date at Tampa's MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Aug. 17.
Not that you needed any further encouragement, but the opening guest on the tour is none other than shock-rock legend Alice Cooper. Even if this wasn't Motley Crue's final tour, it'd still be one worth catching live.
Skeptical that this is really a "farewell tour?" We are too. But make no mistake, Crue swears they mean it. Check out the first line of their announcement: "Band is first-ever to sign binding 'Cessation of Touring' agreement to prevent future, unauthorized touring." Still, that probably just means Vince Neil can't go around with a few hired guns claiming it's Motley Crue; we would be shocked if there's not a full-scale reunion at some point in the future.
But you never know. Have you seen Mick Mars lately? Anytime he does anything it could be for the last time.
