Pearl Jam tour coming to Tampa
Pearl Jam is going back on the road, Eddie Vedder & Co. announced Tuesday, and that includes a stop in Tampa.
It's been more than two decades since Pearl Jam beat its angsty flannel heart as the other great Seattle band of the grunge movement. And while most of their early '90s counterparts are gone or doing nostalgia tours, Pearl Jam is still rocking arenas like it will April 11 in Tampa's Amalie Arena.
Pearl Jam’s 2016 North American tour includes a kick off in Fort Lauderdale on April 8, festival headlining slots at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Bonnaroo and wrap in August with two nights each at historic baseball stadiums Fenway Park in Boston and Wrigley Field in Chicago
Tickets go on sale Jan. 29, a special ticket pre-sale begins today for current Pearl Jam Ten Club members. More details at pearljam.com
October of 2015 officially marked 25 years of Pearl Jam performing live. Ten studio albums, and hundreds of official live concert bootleg releases later, the band continue to be critically acclaimed and commercially successful -- with more 60 million albums sold worldwide.
The band released its Grammy-winning 10th studio album, Lightning Bolt, in 2013.
