Rascal Flatts, Sheryl Crow coming to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa
Sheryl Crow is really diving into her new career in country music.
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter will open for blockbuster trio Rascal Flatts on their just-announced upcoming tour, which will hit Tampa's MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Sept. 12. Coed country crossover group Gloriana will open the show, making this arguably one of the more pop-minded country tours in recent years.
This will be Crow's first major tour in support of her first country album, Feels Like Home. She performed at Ruth Eckerd Hall in early 2013, but her most notable local performance in recent years came in 2012, when a video of her forgetting the words to Soak Up the Sun at the Taste of Pinellas went viral ... before it was announced that she was suffering from a brain tumor.
Ticket details are scant, but Rascal Flatts' website says tickets to some shows will be available as part of Live Nation's Country Megaticket starting Jan. 24. No details have thus far been announced for any other Megaticket shows in Tampa (though we suspect Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum may also be in the mix). Tickets to individual shows within the Megaticket typically don't go on sale until a much later date. We'll keep you posted.
In the meantime, don't forget Rascal Flatts will also be at the Florida Strawberry Festival on March 2. Tickets to that show are $55. Click here.
