Reggae Rise Up 2016 lineup: Slightly Stoopid, Iration, Protoje and more
Get ready for two days of irie vibes at next spring's Reggae Rise Up festival.
For the first time, the St. Petersburg event is expanding from one day to two on March 4 and 5, giving thousands of reggae rock fans an excuse to hang out at Vinoy Park all weekend.
The just-announced lineup includes Slightly Stoopid, Iration, the Hip Abduction, Protoje, Fortunate Youth, Passafire, the Movement, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Leilani Wolfgramm, the Expanders, Law, JungleManSam, Summer Survivors and more to be announced in the months to come. A full schedule, including daily headliners, will be unveiled about a month before the shows.
Reggae Rise Up debuted at Raymond James Stadium in 2014 before moving last year to St. Pete and forging a partnership with Jannus Live's Rise Up Sunday Sessions, which has brought acts like Collie Buddz and Nahko and Medicine for the People to the courtyard in recent months. The series has Michael Franti and Spearhead coming to Jannus on Feb. 9.
Two-day early bird tickets are $75 in advance, or $45 per day. Click here for details.
