River Rock Craft Beer and Music Festival: Spin Doctors out, Vertical Horizon in

Tampa's River Rock Craft Beer and Music Festival just got hit with a little kryptonite.

The Spin Doctors have dropped out of the second annual event, scheduled for Nov. 7 at Water Works Park. "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the band had to cancel all future tour dates for 2015," organizers said in a statement.

Replacing the Two Princes funksters alongside Tonic at the top of the bill are Vertical Horizon, known for their inescapable 1999 hit Everything You Want. Haters of '90s radio rock -- YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE -- will argue this is a lateral move at best. Those of us who came of age in that decade know better (raise your hand if you paid actual American dollars for the Spin Doctors' 1994 sophomore album Turn It Upside Down and can still hum its lead single Cleopatra's Cat, thankyouverymuch), but hey, any amount of '90s radio rock is the right amount for us.

Besides, it's all for a good cause, benefitting Voices for Children, which supports the Guardian ad Litem program of Hillsborough County. Tickets are $25 and up. Click here for details.
