SoundBytes: Arcade Fire, Amy Grant, Future, OneRepublic and more
-- OneRepublic recently paid a visit to Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights. Above, you can see the proof, as the band checks out the Walking Dead: No Safe Haven house. Heh, Ryan Tedder's all like, "G-g-g-g-ghosts!" We're digging the Rays hat, though.
-- Is Arcade Fire coming to Florida? It sure seems that way. According to Pitchfork, the Grammy-winning indie-rock stars are playing a secret-but-not-really-secret show at Miami's Little Haiti Cultural Center on Oct. 24. It's being billed as a show by The Reflektors, which is the band name Arcade Fire has adopted during the buildup to their forthcoming album Reflektor. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Click here and here for details.
-- According to the New York Post, rapper Future has been booted from Drake's upcoming tour, including a Nov. 6 date at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, for making negative comments about Drake's new album Nothing Was the Same. Click here.
-- Amy Grant is coming to the renovated Capitol Theatre in Clearwater on May 3. Tickets are $55-$100. Click here.
-- Classic Albums Live will bring their sonically engaging schtick to Ruth Eckerd for a pair of shows early next year, and the albums they'll be recreating are indeed classic: The Beatles' Abbey Road on Feb. 9 (click here) and and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon on May 9 (click here). Tickets go on sale this weekend.
