SoundBytes: CHVRCHES, Lykke Li, Ty Segall and more

-- A big announcement for the Ritz Ybor this afternoon: Scottish indie-pop act CHVRCHES, who scored a breakthrough single with The Mother We Share, will be there on Oct. 6. Tickets are $23.50 and they go on sale Friday. (And if you're ordering by phone, please note that it's pronounced "churches," not "cha-vurches.") Click here.

-- Another big name in the world of European indie pop, the dusky chanteuse Lykke Li, will be at Orlando's House of Blues on Oct. 9. Tickets are $25 and they go on sale Friday. Click here.

-- Fuzzy punk singer-songwriter Ty Segall is coming to Epic Problem in Tampa on Sept. 12, with Wand and Tampa's own Jensen Serf Company opening. That's a pretty tight space for a guy with an international reputation -- he's playing huge clubs elsewhere on this tour -- so, y'know, mark your calendar and get your tickets ASAP. They're $16.75 through Daddy Kool; click here.

-- Tracy Morgan's devastating limo accident over the weekend hangs a huge question mark over all of his upcoming shows -- and today, we just found out that at least some of those shows are (or were) scheduled for Tampa. Morgan is booked at the Tampa Improv from Aug. 22-24, according to the Improv's website, though tickets are not on sale, so who knows if the show will still happen. Click here.

-- Aaron Carter at Crowbar. No, that's not a misprint. The younger Backstreet Bro will play an intimate solo concert at Ybor City's indie-rock haven on Nov. 21. Tickets are $17, or $67 with a meet-and-greet and signed poster. Click here.

-- A couple of new big-name DJ shows at the Amphitheatre in Ybor City: Bass rager Datsik on July 3 (click here) and progressive house/electro DJ Morgan Page on Sept. 13 (click here).

-- A pair of classic singer-songwriters are coming to the Capitol Theatre: Don McLean on Jan. 16 (tickets are $42-$82, click here) and Arlo Guthrie on Jan. 23 ($45-$75, click here).

-- In case you missed it -- or you weren't on the invite list -- tonight's secret show featuring Trash Talk and Odd Future cohort Left Brain is at Crowbar. Carry on!
