-- This was neat: Before performing at the Mix 100.7 Mistletoe Show on Dec. 14, Rachel Platten visited MacDill Air Force Base, where she visited with families and children, handed out gifts and a performance at the base's medical clinic.

-- Globe-conquering worship group Hillsong United has added a second show at the USF Sun Dome in February. In addition to performing Feb. 13, they'll also perform Feb. 14, both times with Rend Collective in tow. Tickets are $27.50 and up. Click here.

-- Two new shows coming to the Amphitheatre in Ybor City: Jauz on Feb. 19 and Black Tiger Sex Machine on April 15.

-- The Reggae Rise Up Festival, which in 2014 brought Rebelution to Raymond James Stadium, is returning to Tampa Bay after a year off. It'll take place March 5 at Vinoy Park in St. Pete. No lineup yet, but early bird tickets are on sale now for $40.05 and up. Click here.
