SoundBytes: Matisyahu, Washed Out, Winger, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and more
-- Indie rockers Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes were just announced as one of the headliners of this year's Clearwater Jazz Holiday, which should have been a triumphant homecoming for singer Jade Castrinos, who was born in St. Petersburg and lived in Treasure Island as a child. This week, though, Castrinos was reportedly booted from the band. The split happened for reasons unknown, though JamBase reports she was kicked out via email, and Zeroes frontman Alex Ebert said in a since-deleted Facebook post that "we did not feel right doing this tour with Jade," and expressed hope "that we reunite with Jade again, free-spirited, and with that daring love that is our only foundation."
