-- Controversial Tampa art-punks Merchandise have announced a new album, A Corpse Wired For Sound, that'll come out Sept. 23 via 4AD. That same night, they'll perform at Crowbar in Ybor City before heading out on a world tour. All of this news came the same day the band dropped a video for their new single End Of The Week. Click here for the details.

-- Who are Lordi? Oh, nothing big, just Finland's answer to Gwar, a costume-clad melodic metal outfit who perform in monster masks. You might know them as the only hard rock act to win the Eurovision Song Contest. Or maybe you're just a fan of Finnish metal. Either way, the band is coming to the Orpheum on Feb. 28. Tickets are $22 and up. Click here.

-- Jam-banders Galactic are performing at Jannus Live on Nov. 18, with St. Petersburg's own The Hip Abduction opening up. Tickets are $24 and up. Click here.

-- Also coming to Jannus Live: Metalcore outfit Pierce the Veil on Oct. 9, alongside Neck Deep and I Prevail. Tickets are $25 and up. Click here.

-- And one more big metalcore show to announce: Asking Alexandria on Nov. 23 at the Ritz Ybor, alongside Born of Osiris, I See Stars, After the Burial, Upon a Burning Body and Bad Omens. Tickets are $25. Click here.

-- Punk favorites the Queers and the Ataris are coming to the Local 662 on Sept. 12. Tickts are $10-$15. Click here.

-- Rising rapper Tory Lanez is coming to the Orpheum on Sept. 15. Tickets are $29 and up. Click here.

-- This Wild Life is coming to the Orpheum on Sept. 25 alongside Have Mercy, Movements and Many Rooms. Tickets are $15 and up. Click here.

-- Vine superstar Thomas Sanders is coming to the Orpheum on Aug. 12. Tickets are $30 and up. Click here.

-- And talk about one-of-a-kind shows: Bit Brigade is bringing their odd roadshow to New World Brewery on Aug. 19. The band plays a live score as "master gamer" Noah McCarthy plays video games on a screen. Click here for details.
