SoundBytes: Sky Ferreira, Brody Jenner, Modest Mouse, Freddie Gibbs and more

-- It appears Sky Ferreira has dropped out of this leg of Miley Cyrus' Bangerz Tour, which hits the Tampa Bay Times Forum on March 20, due to injury. Bummer. So if you were on the fence about attending this one, this might be a good enough reason to sit it out.

-- Don't know when this was announced, but YES: One of our favorite rappers alive, Freddie Gibbs, is finally coming to Tampa, opening for Tech N9ne at the Ritz Ybor on April 15. Hopefully this doesn't mean Gibbs is getting into horrorcore, but we suspect his upcoming album with Madlib, Pinata, is proof that he isn't. Click here for more of Gibbs' tour dates.

-- Kardashian alert! Kim-, Khloe- and Kourtney-affiliated bro Brody Jenner will be coming to ampa this Sunday to host and perform a DJ set at Hogan's Beach. Tickets are $10-$15. Click here.

-- More Hogan's Beach DJ action: Brazzabelle and Helena on March 23; tickets are $10-$15; click here; and Canadian duo Zeds Dead on April 27; tickets are $17.50-$25; click here.

-- Some interesting upcoming comedy shows worth noting: Tom Arnold (April 25-26, Side Splitters), Bert Kreischer (May 9-10, Improv) and wrestling star Mick Foley (May 15, Side Splitters).

-- Crowbar should be packed for this one: Deer Tick with Langhorne Slim and the Law on May 14. Tickets are $20. Click here.

-- This one could be packed as well: Blitzen Trapper on May 8 at Crowbar. Tickets are $13-$16. Click here.

-- The Menzingers are coming to the Orpheum on July 2. Tickets are $13-$15. Click here.

-- This one's guaranteed to be packed: Hot country singer Brett Eldredge, who has toured with Taylor Swift, is coming to the Dallas Bull on April 25. Tickets are $10-$15. Click here.

-- If you're up for a drive to Orlando, float on over for Modest Mouse on May 16 at the Beacham. Tickets are $40-$55. Click here.

-- Looks like Big Pre-Fest in Little Ybor -- a massive prelude to Gainesville's punk gathering known as Fest -- will return to Ybor City on Oct. 29-30. Details are a long way off, but click here and here for reviews of last year's inaugural Pre-Fest.

-- Speaking of festivals: In case you missed it, the Lakewood Ranch Winterfest is taking place March 29 in Lakewood Ranch, near Sarasota, with a lineup that includes Kansas, Rick Derringer, Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Bertie Higgins, Billy Dean, Marty Balin, Ty Herndon and more. Tickets are $25-$100. Click here.

-- Ben Taylor, Jennifer Knapp, Gareth Asher, Ryan Montbleau, Rachel Sage, Jim Lauderdale and Danielle Ate the Sandwich are among the bigger names coming to the Safety Harbor Singer Songwriter Festival, April 4-6 in Safety Harbor. Three-day tickets are $40. Click here.
