SoundBytes: Steve Aoki, St. Lucia, Shakey Graves and more
-- We've got another Bonnaroo band coming to Tampa Bay! New York indie-pop outfit St. Lucia, who wowed crowds with an electric set at the 2015 Big Guava Music Festival, will come to the State Theatre on June 13, shortly after their trip to Tennessee. The show comes in support of their exuberant new album Matter. Tickets are $18-$20, and they go on sale Friday. Click here.
-- Rollicking blues-rock act Shakey Graves will also come to the State Theatre on May 18. Tickets are $18-$20, and they go on sale Friday. Click here.
-- And one more for the State Theatre: Punk-reggae-metal outfit Skindred on April 24, with Soil opening the show. Tickets are $16-$18. Click here.
-- A huge DJ is coming to the Amphitheatre in Ybor City on one of the busiest musical weekends of the year: Steve Aoki on March 5. Tickets are $30. Click here.
-- We mentioned Monday that punk legends NOFX were coming to the Ritz Ybor on April 21. What we've since learned is that their upcoming tour coincides with the release of a memoir, NOFX: The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories. And to mark that book's release, they're also visiting independent bookstores on tour. In Tampa, they'll visit Inkwood Books. Stay tuned for details on that event.
