'Spring Breakers' soundtrack: Skrillex, Gucci Mane, Cliff Martinez, James Franco and more

Spring Breakers, Harmony Korine's new teensploitation movie that filmed in Pinellas County last year, is anything but a musical. And yet music is integral to the film in more ways than you can probably imagine.

Pitchfork dropped an advance stream of the Spring Breakers soundtrack, which features a score by Skrillex and Cliff Martinez (Drive), not to mention contributions from Waka Flocka Flame, Meek Mill and Rick Ross. Gucci Mane, who stars in the film, also has a track, along with star James Franco, who performs alongside St. Petersburg rapper Dangeruss. (Sadly, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Heather Morris do not, as yet, make an appearance.)

Says tbt*'s Sean Daly: "Cliff Martinez augments Skrillex's mroe volatile instrumentals with a meditative, chiming counterscore that suggests the movie will have quiet, contemplative moments as well."

The film drops March 22, and we'll have plenty more to say about it soon.
