Stephen Marley, Lucero added to 2016 Gasparilla Music Festival lineup

The Gasparilla Music Festival has added a second wave of artists to its 2016 lineup — and more than ever, it’s looking like this’ll be the most diverse fest yet.

Reggae great Stephen Marley and Memphis alt-rock outfit Lucero (above) will take the stage at GMF 2016, March 12 and 13 in Curtis Hixon Park. Joining them will be electronic rock trio the New Deal, Americana group the Appleseed Collective, Puerto Rican fusion outfit Pirulo y la Tribu and Florida artists Acme Jazz Garage, Sol Caribe, Acho Brother, Boxcar Hollow, Lauris Vidal, Larry Duran and Ella Jet.

They join an eclectic lineup that already includes Erykah Badu, Talib Kweli, Charles Bradley and his Extraordinaires, MS MR, Greensky Bluegrass, Houndmouth, Antibalas, Kermit Ruffins and more. At least one more national act and several local artists are still expected to join the lineup.
