Sunset Music Festival lineup: Jack U, Hardwell, the Chainsmokers, more coming to Tampa's Raymond James Stadium
The DJs behind one of the past year’s biggest dance hits are coming to Tampa to headline the 2016 Sunset Music Festival.
And they might not even be the biggest names on the bill.
EDM superstars Skrillex and Diplo, collectively known as Jack U and the creators of Justin Bieber’s monster hit Where Are U Now, will close out this year’s Sunset Music Festival, Memorial Day weekend at Raymond James Stadium.
They’ll be joined by Hardwell, the Dutch house superstar frequently voted the world’s No. 1 DJ; the Chainsmokers, who just scored a Top 10 hit with Roses; and Swedish duo Galantis, producers of the hit Runaway (U & I). Hardwell and Galantis will perform Saturday, May 28, and Jack U and the Chainsmokers will perform Sunday, May 29.
Also on the lineup at this year’s Sunset Music Festival: 3Lau, Audien, Cash Cash, Thomas Jack, Borgore, Bro Safari, Ferry Corsten, Cash Cash, Marshmello, Anna Lunoe, Tritonal, Zomboy, Borgeous and more.
Filling out the initial wave of announced acts: Andrew Bayer, Claptone, Claude VonStroke, Funtcase, Ilan Bluestone, Jai Wolf, Jauz, Jsutin Martin, Lane 8, Matoma, Mija, Nghtmare, Party Favor, Sam Feldt, Seven Lions, Snails, Vanic, Aryay, Cid, Dirty Chocolate, DJ Amstadamn, Jason Ross, J. Phlip, Liquid Todd, Lost Kings, Louis the Child, Pierce Fulton, Rezz, Robokid, Shaun Frank, Team Ezy, Yung Wall Street and Zaxx.
Presumably, more will be added – and that’s not even counting surprise guests, like Juanes last year and Lil Jon the year before. It’d be a heck of a coup to land Bieber, but we can’t help noticing he has a day off on May 29. Wes or Sonny, either of you guys want to put in a call?
The last two Sunset Music Festivals drew between 40,000 and 50,000 fans over two days -- crowds that didn't dissipate even when rain forced emergency evacuations into Raymond James Stadium. Two-day tickets for this year's event are on sale now for $159, or $225 for VIP. Click here for details.
