Susan Boyle coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota
How is it possible that Susan Boyle, the Scottish singing sensation who shot to global fame on Britain's Got Talent, has never properly toured the United States?
Well, there's no better time than 2014. Boyle has just announced plans for her first North American tour, and according to her website, it'll hit Ruth Eckerd Hall on Nov. 1 and Sarasota's Van Wezel Performing Arts Center on Nov. 5.
Ticket details for the Ruth Eckerd Hall show have not been announced (keep checking this page for upcoming details), but
***UPDATE*** Tickets to the Ruth Eckerd Hall show are $40-$115, and they go on sale June 9. Click here. For the Sarasota show, tickets are $47.80-$122.70, and they'll go on sale June 9, according to the venue.
“This is a brilliant moment for me," Boyle said in a statement. "I have spoken so often about wanting to tour America and be able to visit different cities for the first time, I’m so excited. ... The USA embraced and supported me from the beginning and it really feels like a second home so I can't wait to get on the road and perform there.”
For this tour, you can expect her to cover many classic pop songs, along with her own signature version of Les Miserables' I Dreamed a Dream and maybe, if we're lucky, some songs from her instant-classic (seriously!) Christmas album, The Gift. Hey, November IS right before December, after all.
