Tanya Tucker cancels Strawberry Festival concert; John Anderson to fill in
For the second time this year, illness has forced a performer to cancel a gig at the Florida Strawberry Festival.
Tanya Tucker has canceled her concert at 3:30 p.m. Friday due to bronchitis, according to a statement from the Festival.
"Ms. Tucker has been admitted to the hospital due to complications from bronchitis," festival general manager Paul Davis said in a statement. "She hates to disappoint her fans but needs to focus on her health."
Filling in for Tucker will be John Anderson, the Florida native famed for hits like Seminole Wind and Money in the Bank. Tickets to see him are $15-$20.
Tickets purchased for Tucker can be used at the Anderson show, or you can contact the ticket office about refunds at (813) 719-6680. Click here for details.
Last week, outlaw country icon Merle Haggard also pulled out of his Strawberry Festival gig on March 12 due to pneumonia. He'll be replaced by Kris Kristofferson.
