After months of delays in construction and permitting, the Attic is open for business.

The intimate Ybor City venue, located above the future home of Rock Brothers Brewing at 1510 E Eighth Ave., will open this weekend for concerts by Will Jay on Friday and Shawn Mullins, above, on Saturday.

The "listening room"-style venue had been set to open in March, then October, but kept getting delayed, with ticketed concerts being forced into nearby spaces. Co-owner Kevin Lilly said the final approval to host live music came throguh Friday afternoon.

The brewery and adjacent bar won't be open until spring, according to a Rock Brothers Instagram post.
