The Cadillac Three cancel March 18 concert at the Round Up in Tampa
The Cadillac Three has more rock 'n' roll muscle than most modern Nashville combos, which means you really want to see them in a smaller club like the Round Up in Tampa.
Unfortunately, that won't be happening as planned next week.
The Cadillac Three -- known for a string of singles like White Lightning, The South and the new Graffiti and Soundtrack to a Six Pack -- are canceling their March 18 concert at the Tampa country bar "due to an ongoing family matter."
"We apologize for any inconvenience and we will be back soon," the group said in a satement. "We appreciate the love and support and thank you for their understanding."
The venue took it in stride, adding: "We are looking forward to the Cadillac Three performing at our venue and will keep you informed with regards to the reschedule date. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire TC3 members, family and crew."
It's a bummer, because Jaren Johnston is one of Nashville’s brightest and busiest songwriters, having penned hits like Beachin’ for Jake Owen and Meanwhile Back at Mama’s for Tim McGraw. And they're becoming stars in the United Kingdom, where they just wrapped a sold-out tour.
Questions about the cancellation should be directed to email@example.com.
