The Killers coming to Hard Rock Live in Orlando
The last time the Killers came to Orlando, they played the cavernous Citrus Bowl as the opening-night headliner of 2011's ill-fated Orlando Calling Festival.
This time, they're opting for a more intimate venue.
The Killers will play Hard Rock Live at Downtown Disney in Lake Buena Vista on Aug. 16, according to Ticketmaster. It's quite the coup, considering the band is mostly playing arenas and amphitheaters on their upcoming summer tour (for example, Miami's AmericanAirlines Arena on Aug. 17).
The price to see such a big band on such a small stage: $67.50 at the low end, $123 for the best seats. (For comparison's sake, single-day tickets to Orlando Calling started at $87.50.) Click here to get them.
The Killers have lost just a bit of their white-hot cool factor since they played the old Masquerade (now the Ritz Ybor) in Tampa in 2004 (ticket price: $12!). But they've added gigantic songs like A Dustland Fairytale and When You Were Young to a catalog that already included alt-synth gems like Mr. Brightside and Somebody Told Me. So if you've got the money, dabble on a little glitter and mascara and pick up tickets when they go onsale this Saturday.
