The Neighbourhood added to Coastline Festival at Tampa's MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre
In our review of Imagine Dragons at the USF Sun Dome the other day, we neglected to mention opening act The Neighbourhood, a rising alt-rock outfit in their own right.
The California group called their shot from the get-go, opening with breakout hit Sweater Weather, then progressing through a swoony set of stormy, atmospheric guitars and dark hip-hop-tinged beats.
If you missed their set on Tuesday, or their set earlier this year at the State Theatre, good news -- The Neighbourhood will be back in Tampa on Nov. 9 as part of the inaugural Coastline Festival at the Florida State Fairgrounds. They're the second late add, following L.A. indie pop outfit Blondfire a few weeks back.
The full Coastline Festival lineup: Passion Pit, Two Door Cinema Club, Matt and Kim, Fitz and the Tantrums, The Joy Formidable, The Neighbourhood, The Mowgli's, Surfer Blood, Blondfire, The Royal Concept and St. Lucia. Tickets are $25-$40 through Oct. 31, $30-$45 after, with some $55 pit tickets and $99 VIP passes available.
Also worth noting: The Coastline Fest has unveiled more details about its "craft beer cove," featuring 25 different beers from around the Sunshine State, including Cigar City Brewing, Cold Storage Craft Brewery and Tequesta Brewing Co.; as well as national brewers like Southern Tier, Widmer Brothers and New Belgium.
