Vanilla Ice coming to Shephard's Beach Resort in Clearwater Beach
All right: Stop. Collaborate and listen. Ice is back, with a brand new invention.
No, really. Vanilla Ice has decided to reinvent his classic single Ninja Rap ("Go ninja, go ninja, go!") from the soundtrack of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze for a commercial for Kraft's line of TMNT-themed macaroni and cheese. Well, hey, as long as it's for a good cause, right?
We bring this to your attention because we just found out Vanilla Ice is returning to Tampa Bay for what's sure to be a '90s-tastic party at Shephard's Beach Resort in Clearwater Beach. The rapper, pitchman, reality TV star and home-renovation expert will perform at a St. Patrick's Day weekend party on March 15 at Shephard's.
Tickets to the event are $15, which would certainly buy you several lonely, lazy meals' worth of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle-themed macaroni and cheese, but we think this is a better way to spend it. Get them here.
It's the first major event to be scheduled for Shephard's following several months of major renovations. But considering it's one of Tampa Bay's premiere spring break party destinations, they'd be foolish not to have it up and running by mid-March. Cajoling Vanilla Ice into rocking the mic like a vandal seems like a good way to ease back into the swing of things.
