Roseate Spoonbills!

Pretty Florida.

CHERIE DIEZ | Times

Pretty Florida.

April

Wanted to post the photo just because it's pretty: Roseate Spoonbills drop in to feed on small fish, insects and crustaceans Monday near the banks of a canal at St. Pete's Sawgrass Lake Park. Shallow waters, favorite feeding grounds for the wading birds, are sensitive to pollution. Nutrient runoff can encourage cattails to overcrowd this habitat. The population is recovering from the plume-hunting era.
