Is there a double standard in defining racist acts?
In today's story by Times media critic Eric Deggans, WWBA-AM 820 morning man Mark Larsen defends his decision to dress in blackface makeup at the start of Wednesday's show. Joined by station news director Roger Schulman, Larsen joked about caking on the cosmetics and launched a number of racially influenced comments.
"I wasn't making fun of black people," says Larsen, saying he wore blackface on his morning radio show to fulfill a bet he lost.
Comments from tampabay.com readers about Larsen's stunt have poured in (only the most recent 35 appear with the story). Which reader comment do you agree with?
