Tampabay.com reader Paula Hays shared some cool photos from a recent trip to Ottawa, Canada. She visited this huge spider sculpture in a plaza near the Canadian National Gallery of Art.

Hays shot this photo of the 8-step locks in downtown Ottawa between the Ottawa River and the Rideau Waterway, which exits in the south of Canada in Kingston on the St. Lawrence River. It takes about 1½ hours for a boat to go through these locks, and the boat moves the boat up or down 79 feet, she wrote.
