Big or small, share your goals for 2009
A Times essay offers a glimpse of how some bay area residents spent the last day of 2008. From Big Apple Bagels in Lutz, Tampa's Coin Laundry, D&B Barbershop, San Antonio Cyclery and Spring Hill Regional Hospital (a new baby!), folks were ready to welcome a new year.
The new year has "got to be better than the last," one Big Apple Bagels customer remarked.
A few signs of optimism:
The Cagel family brought home a white Lab, Zoe, from the Hillsborough animal shelter.
A couple in Spring Hill will be taking home Savannah Aponte (7 pounds, 10 ounces). She was the positive of 2008, the parents said.
What's your 'positive' going to be in 2009? A new dog, new baby? In a bleak economy, maybe just a new hairstyle? In 10 words or less, tell us about your plans.
