Dogtoberfest festival in Dunedin breaks Guinness world record

More than 400 dogs decked out in costume showed up with their owners for Dunedin's Dogtoberfest today, breaking a Guinness world record for the most dogs in costume.

The organizers, the Suncoast Animal League, needed to top a record set recently by a group of 218 dogs in costume in England. Tampabay.com's Gadget Guy Jack Rowland was there and says 426 costumed pooches showed up at Highlander Park. Rowland shared these photos (above and below).
