Florida School for Boys: Class of '88 paints picture of failure
The criminal histories of the boys who were at Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys in 1988 are a testament to a program that failed. Out of 180 boys on a fragile list, at least 174 of them — 97 percent — were arrested after they left Dozier. They raped and killed. They sold drugs near schools and beat their wives and swung on cops. They held guns on store clerks, drove getaway cars and left victims across the state.
