Funeral director says goodbye to dog that changed his life
Six years ago, a scrawny black stray dog sought shelter from a rainstorm at Tom Dobies' funeral home in Holiday. Employees wanted to keep her. Dobies said no. But this dog was gentle and loveable. Dobies changed his mind, and the dog, Lucy, changed him forever. But Lucy passed away peacefully Monday.
