Happy Thanksgiving: We're grateful for all of our engaged readers
As I prepare for Thanksgiving here at Let's Talk (gearing up for tomorrow morning's Times Turkey Trot), I wanted to take a moment to recognize all the readers that I'm grateful for. My role at tampabay.com is to interact with our readers and to invite you to engage with tampabay.com -- to share your opinions, your personal experiences and your photos.
It's truly been rewarding to get to know many of you through Let's Talk, It's Your Times, Facebook, Twitter, and in person at various spots in the area. We're grateful to have you as active members of tampabay.com's community.
In just the last five weeks, more than 6,400 readers have registered to comment on our stories and participate in our new rating system for comments. I often hear that the lively comments and discussions on our stories entice people to return to tampabay.com. So, we thank you for caring enough to participate.
On tampabay.com's Facebook fan page, 1,886 fans follow our updates on the latest hot topics or cool photo galleries. We appreciate all your commentary and the photos you've shared with us via Facebook.
And to our 1,829 Twitter followers, we are always grateful for your feedback and ReTweets!
Of course, we're grateful to those 240,147 daily subscribers to the St. Petersburg Times print edition that look forward to finding the paper in their driveway each morning.
I join my tampabay.com and Times colleagues in saying "thanks" for being such engaged readers. Please share in the comments below what you are grateful for on this Thanksgiving.
