He caught an 80-pound sailfish, then watched it swim away
With recent news of shark killings in the Tampa Bay area, tampabay.com readers are sharing their catch-and-release tales. Here's one from Leon Kass, who was in 188 feet of water west of Egmont Key on June 1 when he caught a sailfish.
"The fish measured in excess of 96 inches and weighed more than 80 pounds by our guess," Kass wrote. "The fish was released alive, resuscitated and watched swimming away."
