PINELLAS PARK MURDER: Richard H. Levo, 51,was fatally stabbed after confronting two men who were breaking into cars near his apartment building early Thursday, police said. In a 911 call, Mr. Levo described his attackers and asked for emergency help. We also have a video report.

MCCOLLUM'S REQUEST:  A week after the primary election, Attorney General Bill McCollum asked if he could lobby the governor and Cabinet after his term. The answer: No. Here's his letter.

PETER PORCELLI: The Pinellas businessman, who made millions in telemarketing and who owned the world-champion Tampa Bay Smokers fast-pitch softball team, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for defrauding dozens of local homeowners with a foreclosure relief scam.
