Orbiting more than 200 miles above Earth, Clearwater astronaut Nicole Passonno Stott peers down at the Tampa Bay area every chance she gets, and often takes pictures of the region where she grew up, she said in an interview from the space station today.

Moon mission: On Friday, NASA plans to slam two spacecraft into a crater near the moon's south pole in search of water. Beginning at 6:15 a.m. Friday, you can watch the event live online, including views from the spacecraft itself.
