Tomato talk

Florida is one of the country’s biggest tomato producers, he said. But farmers typically use lots of chemicals to help the fruit  grow and survive. The plight of those who have to pick the fruit isn’t much better, says Barry Estabrook, who wrote Tomatoland: How Modern Industrial Agriculture Destroyed Our Most Alluring Fruit.
