A man arrested in Las Vegas on accusations he ran over a Brandon Walmart employee in December was returned to Hillsborough County on Thursday.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is accepting public comment on the proposed water quality standards for the next 60 days. The public is also invited to attend 3 public hearings across the state:

• Tallahassee: 1 p.m to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Holiday Inn Capitol East, 1355 Apalachee Parkway.

• Orlando: 1 p.m to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Crowne Plaza Orlando Universal, 7800 Universal Blvd.

• West Palm Beach: 1 p.m to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Holiday Inn Palm Beach Airport, 1301 Belvedere Road.
