Photo gallery: Tampa Bay's Susan G. Komen 3-day Walk
A local park was a sea of pink at sunrise Friday morning as 1,600 walkers gathered for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure 60-mile fundraising walk to benefit breast cancer research. The walkers left Sand Key Park in Clearwater early Friday morning. Participants walk 20 miles a day and camp overnight. Part of the proceeds from the fundraiser go toward research and local community programs supporting education, screening and treatment. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
