City of Tampa employees showed off their Rays spirit today in honor of Tampa Bay Rays Day.

The city invited all employees and everyone in the city to wear their Rays gear to rally for the playoff-bound team. The celebration continues tonight with a free watch party at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park. The game against the Detroit Tigers will be shown on a giant screen next to the Tampa Marriott Waterside hotel.

In St. Pete, the city is celebrating the Rays in a variety of ways, including a call to greet Rays players when they return home from their final regular-season road trip Sunday at 8 p.m. at St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport.
