Here's a look at what our readers are saying:

"They hung in there longer than I thought they would. Why is it such a shock that St. Pete is not a baseball city?" ~ Floridave via tampabay.com

"I don't want to go over the bridge to a game. That is why I ride my bike downtown from my house in St. Pete about a mile away." ~ David Bamford via Facebook

"What a surprise! St. Pete does all the legwork for many, many years, and now all that we have done isn't good enough! Where was Tampa when we trying to get a team? " ~ Eileen Conte via Facebook

Tampa doesn't have the money for a stadium either. Sternberg basically said nothing. Break the contract. We could use the $$$." ~ Boxdog1031 via Twitter
