TPD sings and dances to stay connected

On Monday, Tampa police released a music video of officers lip-synching Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.” One officer dances 'Gangnum style.’ Two sing underwater in diving equipment. They’ve got K9s and a bomb robot. On Tuesday, TMZ Tweeted the video. People love it. Chief Jane Castor just laughs. When first asked to participate, she said “no way.” But Castor -- a 52-year-old woman without a Facebook account -- is warming up to social media. It helps solve crimes and makes residents more comfortable approaching officers. “We’re not just the uniform,” she said.
