USS Narcissus proposal for underwater archeological preserve
State officials have proposed making the site of the wreck of a Civil War-era steam tugboat, the USS Narcissus, the 12th Florida underwater archeological preserve. The proposal (PDF) describes in detail what lies at the site 2 miles north of Egmont Key. It would join 11 other preserves off Florida's coasts.
