Video: Great horned owl at McGough Nature Park

The staff at McGough Nature Park is asking the public to suggest names for the park’s newest resident, a juvenile great horned owl that DNA testing has confirmed is male. The list of entries will be narrowed to the top five and then posted for voting on Largo’s Recreation, Parks and Arts Facebook page, The name with the most votes wins. To enter a name, visit or drop by for an entry form at the McGough Nature Center inside the park at 11901 146th St. N, Largo. Names can be submitted through June 22.

Meanwhile, to give you some incentive to enter the contest, here's video of the young owl.
