Watch video: 8-foot alligator trapped in East Lake neighborhood
Authorities trapped an alligator that was strolling around a neighborhood Monday evening, drawing the attention of about two dozen residents.
Pinellas County sheriff's Lt. Richard Nalven, 42, was patrolling about 7:30 p.m. when dispatchers sent him to Ridgemoor Boulevard and Valemoor Drive in East Lake. Nalven arrived to find about 25 residents gawking at an 8-foot alligator crawling along the sidewalk.
