This week's photos: 5 of our favorite wildlife pictures
Thanks to our Facebook fans and Community Photo Gallery members who contributed some beautiful wildlife photos this week. Here's a look at 5 of my favorites. View the photos, then vote for your favorite wildlife pics:
Sharon Simmons took this photo at Lowry Park Zoo on Thursday while taking a break for a few minutes and having an ice cream. It is a male house finch feeding his baby.
"When he wanted a bite, he'd flap his wings and look at his father. Daddy would oblige and gently place a morsel of food in his mouth. This was repeated four or five times until daddy and the baby flew off to new adventures," Simmons wrote. "It was rather odd that with all of the animals in the zoo, I found the most joy watching 'free' animals go about life in a natural environment."
