Over the next 6 days, St. Petersburg Times staff writers and photographers - in Washington and around Tampa Bay - will bring you a rich array of stories about the historic inauguration of America's first black president.
We'll take you to a predominantly black neighborhood walking distance from the White House where the residents swell with pride at the prospect of an Obama presidency but recognize that he may not be able to deliver the kind of change they need.
We'll be on an all-night bus ride to Washington and at the Lincoln Memorial on Sunday with Bruce, Beyonce and Bono for the welcoming ceremony. Our multimedia presentations will put you inside the record-breaking crowds and let you travel around Tampa Bay to see share the moment when the world stopped to hear a speech.
So pick up the Times and come to tampabay.com each day for Inaugural coverage you can't get anywhere else.
Your take: If you're headed to D.C. for the big event, we'd like to see your photos: E-mail them to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, e-mail address and photo details in the body of the message. And if you will be attending a watch party in the bay area, please let us know about that.
