Your photos: Mystery monkey, bat drop in on St. Petersburg pools
Tampabay.com readers shared some great photos of wildlife clinging to pool cages this weekend. In one case, Tampa Bay's mystery monkey made an appearance in Tropical Shores and fell into a resident's pool, then escaped. In Kenneth City, Mayor Teresa Zemaitis snapped photos of a bat hanging onto her pool's cage. Take a look:
Renée Barth spotted what she thought was a large dog walk by the sliding glass doors in her back yard around noon Sunday. But when the creature sidled through an open screen door and swung onto a tree in the pool enclosure, she realized she was staring at a monkey.
Kenneth City Mayor Teresa Zemaitis photographed this bat in her backyard on Sunday. She said she wasn't sure whether it was "trying to find a way out of the rain or into the pool."
