Your photos: Mystery Monkey in Clearwater tree
Ron Bond of Clearwater shared this photo he snapped of Tampa Bay's Mystery Monkey outside his house in February. He describes what happened when he spotted the fugitive rhesus macaque from his house, on Whitman Street off Old Coachman Road:
"I was looking out my back window and I saw the monkey on my fence; he seemed to be looking in the window at us," Bond wrote. "I called to my wife and she saw him too, thank goodness!
"He went up the tree, where I took the picture. The (wildlife officials) came and set out a trap with fruit -- he had no part of it. I had noticed that oranges from my tree were being shredded but had no idea why -- until I saw him!"
