Mahoney: Cowboy in S. Fla

Congressional candidate Tim Mahoney's newest TV commercial may be a first for South Florida Democrats: he shoots a gun.

The challenger who was facing Mark Foley, and is now facing Joe Negron, is running to represent a Republican-heavy district. Mahoney, a former Republican himself, has been touting himself as a pro-business, anti-corruption, family values man -- and a rancher.

The ad starts off with cut-outs of Tom DeLay, Bob Ney and Jack Abramoff, while declaring "Congress is a mess." Later, it shows Mahoney taking a practice shot (with a pow) and skewering a giant stack of barbecued ribs on a grill.
