Smith calls on supporters to give $ to Davis

Rod Smith, runner up in the Democratic primary for governor, sent e-mail to supporters this morning asking them to contribute to his former rival:

"If we are going to keep working for our goal of real change for Florida, then we have to work to elect Jim Davis and Daryl Jones. Charlie Crist has already raised millions of dollars to defend the status quo. It's our responsibility to make sure Jim has the chance to get the message out there. I've told Jim that I will do whatever it takes to help him win in November and now I am asking you to do the same. Please consider making a contribution to Jim Davis and his campaign to bring our values and our vision of real change to Tallahassee. $25, $50, $100, $250, or even the $500 maximum will go a very long way."
