Bush Wants Action from Ober

Gov. Jeb Bush on Monday said he shares the "unbelievable frustration" of the family of Martin Lee Anderson that the investigation of the teenager's death in a state-supervised Panama City boot camp is still not resolved.

Bush made an extraordinary direct appeal to Hillsborough State Attorney Mark Ober, who's in charge of the case, to wrap up the investigation.

"This has taken way too long. And Mr. Ober, if you're watching, please, let's get this resolved," Bush told reporters.

He said he has tried not to intervene in Ober's investigation but that he too believes it's high time the case was resolved. The long delay continued to fuel conspiracy theories that the state is trying to bury a scandal for as long as possible.
